The City Sights and Green Island tour pairs a morning on the Great Barrier Reef with a guided afternoon around Cairns — a well-paced way to see both sides of Far North Queensland in a single day.
Make your own way to the Reef Fleet Terminal in the Cairns CBD for the 9:00am catamaran to Green Island, a coral cay 27km offshore. On the island, choose a glass-bottom boat tour or a guided snorkel tour, then swim, snorkel the fringing reef or relax on the white sand beach. Lunch is not included but is available to buy on the island.
Back at the Reef Fleet Terminal, your Tropic Wings guide collects you for the afternoon City Sights tour: Cairns Botanic Gardens, Cairns Museum, the Great Barrier Reef stained-glass windows of St Monica's Cathedral, afternoon tea and a drive up to Palm Cove Beach. The day finishes with a drop-off at your Cairns hotel at around 6:00pm.
Hotel pick-up is not included on this tour. It suits first-time reef visitors, families and anyone with only one full day in Cairns.
